This was the first book of the Mistborn series.

Supposedly, the “Cosmere” books are somewhat interlinked. I was adviced to read this book before reading Stormlight Archives #4.

Reflection and takeaways

Not too much to take away.

The characters were great. I liked them all. But I don’t think this book was as good as the Stormlight archives.

These Mistborn books are supposedly a bit shorter than those.

The mist just isn’t as captivating as the spren and Roshar. But I’m still thankful I read this one. It had some inspirational and philosophical parts to it.

Why did I pick it

I was adviced to read this book before reading Stormlight Archives #4.

Verdict

4.3 /5. It’s not bad, it’s just not as awesome as Stormlight. But it might pick up, who knows.
